David Thompson
David returns to Law Preview as a successful graduate of the program. He took the Law Preview course before entering Stanford Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif, with Distinction, and received the Urban A. Sontheimer Award for graduating second in his class. He was Editor-in-Chief of his law journal and had his Note published. He worked as a research assistant for both Dean Kathleen Sullivan and Professor Marcus Cole, who also teaches for Law Preview. He has worked on several Supreme Court merits briefs, on topics ranging from the 4th Amendment to the War on Terror. After Stanford he went on to clerk for Chief Judge Alex Kozinski of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and for Justice Antonin Scalia of the United States Supreme Court.
