University of Miami doesn't rank the 1L class until after the Spring Semester. However, I received a 3.75/4.0, which I was very pleased with. I definitely believe that attending Law Preview had a lot to do with my success. Law Preview taught me that is was necessary to put in more hours than I could have ever imagined. Without knowing that it takes that type of effort to do well I may have never put in the extra time, because I did not see all my peers spending that much time on a day to day basis. At times it did feel as if the tips from Law Preview created another source of stress, because it was hard to keep up with the Law Preview schedule. However, when it was all said and done I have to contribute a large portion of my success to what I learned at Law Preview.

The [Law Preview] program allowed me to start law school with a game plan. It helped me to set a weekly schedule, stay disciplined and gain a leg up on my fellow students. I had been out of school for a while before going back to law school, and the Law Preview helped me refresh old, and gain new study skills. We are not ranked after our first semester, but I ended with a 3.81 GPA.

Law Preview made me much more prepared for law school. The specific subject lessons were nice, but it was the overall lessons about preparedness and what to expect that helped me to not be blindsided when I got here. I can definitely say that the program paid off because after my first year I am ranked #15 out of 500 students in my class.

I would definitely recommend Law Preview to any incoming 1L. I found the subject lessons to be extremely helpful and many of the cases in the Law Preview book were also in most of the school casebooks. I also benefited greatly from the advice Law Preview gives about how to brief, study, and manage time. The continuing emails I received from Don were also very helpful and encouraging. I believe the program is very worth taking. After my first semester I earned a 3.75/4.0 GPA.

First, a note about my rank: University of Michigan does not rank its students. I do know, however, that our classes are curved around a mean of 3.19, which means that 50% of students get higher than that GPA overall. Also, I've heard that a 3.4 represents the lower limit of the 25th percentile. After my first year at UM Law, I have a 3.75 GPA. I went in with an LSAT that put me in the lowest quartile, and now I have a GPA that puts me maybe in the top 10% of the class! At the beginning of the year, my goal was to get a 3.2, and I have exceeded that by far. I believe that part of the reason for my success was indeed the Law Preview program. By taking Law Preview, I was able to get a solid base for all the substantive material that I was to learn in class. In at least every one of my first year courses, I read cases that I read in Law Preview. For example, in Torts during my first semester at law school, I think the first 3 cases we read I had read in Law Preview. That gave me a huge advantage in class because while doing my reading, I knew what to look for and what nuances were important. Also, I was able to participate confidently in those classes. Also, procedurally, Law Preview helped me tremendously. I knew how to brief cases before the first day of class so when I was engaging in my reading, I could really focus on the material. My classmates at this time were still struggling with their cases briefs. Also, I closely followed the suggested schedule that Law Preview gave us and kicked into high gear at the appropriate moments. I was able to finish my outlines by the last day of class and was able to use our entire study period brushing up on material, using my study aids, and taking practice tests. Again, at this time my classmates were barely finishing their outlines and maybe taking one practice test. I believe both the substantive and procedural information I learned from Law Preview was monumental to my success in my first year of law school and enabled me to achieve much more than I had expected. Thank you!

Law preview gave a nice introduction to the rigors of law school. Students can ease their anxiety by gaining a clearer picture of what will be required of them on a daily basis.

Law Preview was worth every penny. The lectures get you thinking about the important concepts, expose you to new terminology, and cover some of the cases you are likely to see in your 1L courses. It gave me a lot of confidence to have all this knowledge before classes even began. Thanks in part to my week at Law Preview, I did well enough my 1L year to transfer to Yale and to get a summer job and an offer of permanent employment from a law firm in Manhattan.

Your Law Preview program soared above and beyond my expectations! Needless to say I am very happy I decided to take advantage of the tremendous opportunity your program offers. The professors and practitioners were indeed top notch and I appreciated the tactics and legal strategies we were taught. . . . You really have provided a valuable roadmap for law school success. Thanks!

The professors and staff were truly dedicated to making sure that I entered law school armed with a strategy for success . . . I can honestly say that the exam-writing lecture alone was worth the price of admission.

I was less afraid of the process. I also felt that I was ahead of my classmates, time-wise, for things like studying for finals and creation of outlines.

It eased my fears about the transition to law school. Although we received some of the same information at our orientation sessions, I felt that Law Preview was worth the investment of time and money because of the practice and preparation I received.

It definitely put the fear in me of failure if I stopped briefing cases, and started just book-briefing and reading as many of my classmates did. I think that as a process briefing prepared me for how to answer the exam questions better than many of my class-mates were able. I think that the exam preparation class, note-taking, and all of the advice regarding how to study, brief assignments, and prepare as the semester progressed helped me to be successful also. The overview of substantive classes also gave me a valuable heads-up on what to expect to learn, and be looking for throughout the semester. I didn't get hung up on inconsequential details throughout the semester as many others did.

The biggest benefit Law Preview gave me was an idea of what to expect. It was nice to go through the struggles of briefing and reading cases during Law Preview, so that I was ready by the time school started. I really gained an advantage by following Law Preview's schedule, and knowing what it takes to succeed.

Law Preview made a huge impact on me. Throughout my law school semester I followed the Law Preview calendar fairly well. I used the weekends to review notes and outline and that, I believe, is what helped me the most. When it came time to study for finals, I was able to run through hypotheticals while the majority of my law school class was still constructing outlines.
Staying two days ahead in reading also really helped me. The briefing techniques helped me pull the important information out of cases . . . Thank you so much for all the great tips and advice you provided me. I truly feel that without the insight Law Preview provided I would not have performed as well.

The Law Preview program helped me by not only teaching me the basics of each first year course, but also by placing a study program in place. After going through the program I knew what I needed to do to be successful.

. . . Law Preview did help me tremendously in terms of introducing me to the law and its study and discipline, and I would take the class again, given the same circumstances (absolutely no law background or family experience whatsoever).

Law Preview gave me the tools I needed to succeed from my first day of law school. I felt much more comfortable with the subject matter I studied having gained a solid base from my week at Law Preview, and the study system Law Preview provides helped immensely. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend the program to anyone who is dedicated to doing well in law school.

Hi guys, I have received my first semester grades from the University of Missouri and I thought you might be interested in knowing how I did. . . . My overall average was a 89/100. This included a 96 in Civil Procedure and 95 in Contracts. My grades automatically put me on the Deans List and in the top 10% of the 1L class . . . Your Law Preview course really helped prepare me for the challenges I faced as a 1L. Thanks again.
