I attended the Law Preview session in Austin. I was just writing to let you know how I did the first semester. I attend the University of Houston Law Center, and I received all A's my first semester and am ranked #1 out of 266 students. Law Preview gave me the right mindset entering into law school, and I feel the class was a big part of my success. Not only did it help me succeed grades wise, but the class also gave me a sense of excitement to attend U of H, as there were 3 professors from the school who lectured at Law Preview, and I enjoyed all three!

—Shaun C., University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2013

I felt more prepared because I knew what to expect. I think the class made me feel more confident in my ability to meet the challenges of law school. I would definitely recommend the class to any incoming law student!

[Law Schools: All] [Graduation Year: All]

I believe that Law Preview was an integral part of my first semester success. While my school does not issue rankings until the end of the first year I was very pleased with my first semester grades. I felt like I had a true advantage over my peers in law school because I had a comprehensive understanding of all of my courses before they had even started. I am incredibly grateful to Law Preview for all of the great study/exam tactics that I employed throughout first semester.

—Anonymous, University of Connecticut School of Law, Class of 2014

I don't know my ranking at the end of my first year, but I have a 3.51 GPA. Law Preview was very helpful in putting me a step ahead of my classmates in the beginning of the semester. When they were learning how to read and brief a case, I was learning the rule. As the semester went on the gap left, but I still think it helped me a lot with confidence and study skills. Everyone else was getting advice from 2L's, but I felt like I had concrete experience behind the advice I got at Law Preview.

—Alison S., University of Denver College of Law, Class of 2009

I think attending Law Preview made me feel more confident entering the first few weeks of school. So, while many of my class mates were busy trying to get a grasp on the newness of it all, I already knew what was expected and required of me to do well.

—Timothy G., University of Denver College of Law, Class of 2010

I am very happy that I invested in the law preview program. I am happy to say that at the end of my first year of law school I ranked in the top 14% of my class. The first semester of law school you will find that you are surrounded by extremely strong personalities. You will be stressed and you will be surrounded by other stressed people sharing their haphazard strategies for doing well. Your first year of law school feels like a hurricane (you are overwhelmed by the stress of achievement, the standards, the Socratic method, etc). I would say that law preview was my safe haven. Above all else, the Law Preview program allowed me to glide into my first year of law school with a sense of ease. Peace of mind, is a very crucial thing. In addition to peace of mind the law preview program gave me strategies and made me more focused. It allowed me to save time, concentrate better, and ultimately achieve my results. I highly recommend the program to any first year student It was the best decision I made coming into law school! Law preview I wish you had an LSAT prep course!

The techniques we learned were extremely helpful. During finals study time, everybody else was outlining; my outlines were finished as of the last class day so I was able to study and work on the hypos. I was even able to incorporate a 'nugget' section into my notes that came in very handy on the exams. Thanks for everything!

—Kate L., University of Denver College of Law, Class of 2013

I believe the way Law Preview helped the most was in letting me know what to expect in the first year of law school - especially the panic that seems to set in during exam weeks. I felt prepared for everything that the first year threw at me, and nothing was a big surprise [ranked #1].

—Anonymous, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Class of 2010

Law Preview provided the foundation for my law school studies and laid out a detailed program for me to follow to ensure that I was on top of everything. Additionally, I was able to focus on mastering the material in class rather than scrambling to learn it for the first time. It definitely worked: top 5% of my class and A's in 3 of 4 classes.

—Anonymous, University of Florida—Fredric G. Levin College of Law, Class of 2011

[Law Preview's] exam techniques and study tips were helpful [ranked #20 out of 400 after first semester].

When I entered my first year of law school at The University of Florida School of Law, I was very happy with that opportunity. Although I was an 'average' student going in, I ended up doing very well -- finishing in the top 2% of my 1L class. The success I enjoyed as a 1L at Florida allowed me to transfer to Harvard Law School, and that's something that was certainly not an option I had prior to starting school. I definitely think that Law Preview was one of the reasons I did so well my first year. Law Preview gave me a process to follow and an understanding about how to study and absorb the material I'd be learning. In addition, the law professors who teach with Law Preview provided me with an overview of each of my 1L classes, so I had a good understanding about the material I'd cover throughout the year. Finally, learning how to take a law school exam and walk through Law Preview's exam-taking strategies with a law professor from a top law school was a great opportunity and something that I truly appreciated; I was able to use these strategies many times throughout the first year of law school. I would recommend the Law Preview program to anyone -- whether you are planning to go to a small regional school or a large national one. No matter what law school you attend, how well you do during your first year is going to dictate the job opportunities you'll have in the end, which is why I think this program is really for anybody.

—Mike P., University of Florida—Fredric G. Levin College of Law, Class of 2011
(transferred to Harvard Law School)

Law Preview really made me aware of how much time is required to prepare for classes and successfully perform. Law Preview also stressed the importance of beginning outlines early, and the schedule provided was also a very beneficial guide. [Ranked 50 out of 300].

—Anonymous, University of Florida—Fredric G. Levin College of Law, Class of 2012

It helped me with how to approach studying, what kind of hours I should expect to put forth in order to be successful and how to approach exams. I think that briefing all of my cases was a habit that was essential. By the end of the year when I was working on my outlines and reviewing courses, I couldn't have been happier that I followed the advice of Law Preview and kept on briefing.

—Michael M., University of Georgia School of Law, Class of 2008

We don't get rankings at UGA Law until May, but I was overall successful my first semester. I received an A for the only final grade we receive in the fall, Crim Law. I believe Law Preview was helpful. It never hurts to see the material twice and from 2 different perspectives. The supplements that came with the program were also extremely helpful, having them early was great.

—Megan C., University of Georgia School of Law, Class of 2014

I participated in your San Francisco class before going to law school. It was a great help and I had a very successful first year. I finished in the top 10% of my class, was offered a position on Law Review, and have already landed a job at a reputable firm for next summer. Thank you for all of your advice and support last year. This is a great program and I recommend it to anyone who is considering going to law school. The rewards far exceed the cost of the program.

—C.W., University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2005

I just wanted you to know that Law Preview was more than I had hoped for and it elevated me and my personal expectations to a level I had quite forgotten existed. . . . Learning from the best is incomparable! Really.

—Candice A., University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2003

Everyone you're competing against in law school is smart, but only 10% of each class ends up in the top 10% (trust me, I did the math). For the most part, the only thing separating those at the top from those towards the bottom is how quickly they figure out the "law-school game" (law school exam-taking ability, study skills and the case method, etc). Pretty much everyone will eventually figure it out, but your first year grades hinge on your ability to figure it out quickly. Law Preview gave me the tools to do just that. Through law preview, I gained a huge advantage that put me up towards the top of the class.

—Nick G., University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2008

As a 40 year old, returning to law school after having been in the working world for 19 years, I was seriously concerned with how I would adapt to academic life. Law Preview built on some of the books that I had previously read and provided additional insight. I feel that I entered the classroom with insight into what was going to happen. I was not surprised by anything they threw at me. I took the directions about studying to heart, used the recommendations about time allotment, and found that I graded on to Law Review at the end of the year. Top 10% in my section. Law Preview is not a magic bullet and will not 'get you on Law Review'. But, it kept me from spinning my wheels on the irrelevant things and the email reminders made sure that I was focused on time sensitive issues long before my colleagues caught on. The Law Preview experience is a great tool to have in the toolkit when you start, but it will not solve anything without consistent hard work implementing the suggestions.

—Mark D., University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2009

I followed the Law Preview plan exactly: briefed every single case, did all reading on schedule, reviewed with flashcards, made my own outlines... and there were no surprises. I was prepared for everything. The biggest plus is that Law Preview helped me start ahead of the pack. Taking the course the summer before school really prepared me mentally as well, so I understood the challenges I was facing but also had the confidence in the skill set I'd developed over the summer to get the job done and stay focused on my goals. The schedule Law Preview provided helped me stay on track, and I also appreciated that Law Preview didn't leave me hanging during the semester. They promptly responded to every question I emailed, and I there's nothing better than candid advice. Now I'm in the top 2% of my class, and I have confidence that I can continue to excel. . . . Thanks so much and I'm making sure my younger brother (who will start law school Fall '09) will be registering for your course soon as well! Now it's just doing it all over again second semester, but I know I have the skills to repeat the process thanks to Law Preview!

—Anonymous, University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2011

Law Preview did three very important things for me: (1) It made me understand to value my time like it was gold, and how to organize my studies for maximum effect; (2) It helped me deterine how to be prepared from Day 1 of law school. I did not waste valuable time during my first few weeks of law school figuring out what I needed to do; and (3) It demystified law school exams and taught me how to proactively prepare for exams, and how to get the information I needed to do well on them. [Ranked top 15% after first year].

The best thing I got out of Law Preview was the practical advice. Part of being successful in any situation is strategy - learning how to maneuver within the circumstances. Law Preview was a great strategy resource. Law School is a foreign world, and knowing what to expect before you ever get there is a huge asset. Most people are totally baffled and have no idea what to do, but I felt a little more confident and had a game plan when I went in. I also really appreciated having some idea of how to approach my exams during the first semester. I got A's in all my substantive classes, including the high grade in Contracts that was 15% above the second highest score. Thanks for everything! [Ranked #5 out of 266 after first semester].
