I attended the Law Preview session in Austin. I was just writing to let you know how I did the first semester. I attend the University of Houston Law Center, and I received all A's my first semester and am ranked #1 out of 266 students. Law Preview gave me the right mindset entering into law school, and I feel the class was a big part of my success. Not only did it help me succeed grades wise, but the class also gave me a sense of excitement to attend U of H, as there were 3 professors from the school who lectured at Law Preview, and I enjoyed all three!

—Shaun C., University of Houston Law Center, Class of 2013

I felt more prepared because I knew what to expect. I think the class made me feel more confident in my ability to meet the challenges of law school. I would definitely recommend the class to any incoming law student!

[Law Schools: All] [Graduation Year: All]

I'm writing to thank you for the Law Preview course I took last summer. I was barely admitted into the school via wait list, and I had absolutely no studying skills before I attended Law Preview. Law Preview gave me an outstanding overview which helped me formed my study plans, so I knew exactly what to do, when to do them, and how to do them. What helped me the most was your lecture on the right attitude to go into law school with; I was able to maintain positive the entire semester even though at times it was frustrating and many things seemed to go wrong. Now I have an above 4.0 GPA: 2xA+,2xA, 1xA- after first semester, which puts me at about top 1-2%. Thanks again, couldn't have done it without you.

—Anonymous, South Texas College of Law, Class of 2011

From the moment I received my acceptance letter for law school, I was constantly told how the first year of law school is by far the most important time during your law school experience. Law Preview allowed me to not only walk into law school without apprehension about what to expect on the first day, but it also gave me the confidence and the skills to master my first year classes. I would recommend Law Preview to anyone starting law school.

—Stephanie H., South Texas College of Law, Class of 2009

I attended the Houston seminar at University of Houston in July 2010. I think the product you offer is excellent. Law Preview provided me with an advantage over my peers in a fair academic way. I would recommend taking the six day class to anyone entering law school. The class provided a foundation that allowed me to find clarity in the pile of case law assigned. The week before my Law Preview class, I read the entire prep book. I did not understand much of what I read, but I went though the exercise. I struggled to interpret the class discussions, but managed to stay focused. The six day work load was a serious grind, like a law school boot camp. While it may have been difficult, the course gave me exactly what I wanted out of it. It gave me a vision of what was to come. I was able to brace myself for impact and ride the turbulent wave through the first semester finish line. Even though preparation is key to success, hard work through out the semester is an essential element as well. My goal for this semester is to study more efficiently, to work smarter not harder. By finals in the fall, I was losing stamina. The work load started to wear me down and I may have wandered into the forest losing myself in the trees. In the end, I still managed to finish in a good place. This semester I have a new and improved game plan, but it is important to note that my original game plan came from Law Preview. Without this original game plan, I would have been lost in the trees from day one. Now, as my peers are wandering to a clearing, I am already crossing the field.

—Lucas C., South Texas College of Law, Class of 2013

It helped to bridge the transition between undergrad and law school, such that I was focussing on learning the material while my peers were still learning the law school process.

—Michael P., Southern Illinois University School of Law, Class of 2010

I attended your Los Angeles session over the summer. Just thought I'd add to the list of satisfied customers. Fall grades came and I received an A in Contracts and made the Dean's List. Thanks.

—C.W., Southwestern Law School, Class of 2006

Law Preview gave me the confidence and the tool set to hit the ground running during the first semester. While other students were falling behind on the readings, not studying smartly, and fearing the inevitable Socratic exchange, I was confidently working (instead of struggling) through the semester. When finals arrived, I knew how to study, what to study, and had a great overall plan to arrive in a good spot at the end of the semester. I'm glad I took Law Preview before beginning my law school career. I would have been lost without it.

—Dustin L., Southwestern Law School, Class of 2011

I decided to take the Law Preview summer course because I came from an art background, had never taken a single political science class, and hadn't scored as high as I would have liked on the LSAT. But I did everything Law Preview said and at the end of the semester I had earned a 4.0 and had scored the highest grade on my Criminal Law exam. Because of that, I got a scholarship that more than covered the cost of Law Preview. It's the best kept secret and the best investment any entering law student could make toward launching their career.

—Dawn H., Southwestern Law School, Class of 2012

Thank you so much for creating such an outstanding program. When I first heard about your course I knew it would be a great way to map out my preparation for law school, but I didn't realize until I arrived just how great the group of legal minds you assembled really were. The professors were not only highly regarded in their respective fields, but they were openly enthusiastic in teaching us what we needed to know. I feel like I have the inside track on not just my courses, but on how I should study, what law school tests look like, and even what my professors look for and want in their students. The biggest relief is not having to play guessing games with my professors!! I believe ALL incoming law students should take this course to prepare themselves for such a monumental year.

—Catherine R., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2004

I've told anyone even remotely thinking of going to law school to take the class . . . it was an amazing experience. Law Preview and my Starbucks card are the two best investments I made before going to law school.

—Antara K., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2006

I dominated my first semester, no doubt all thanks to Law Preview. Unfortunately I slacked a bit second semester, but I still made Law Review and ended up in the top 11% of my class. I wish I had Law Preview during winter break! The program was great and I have already recommended it to many people. Thanks, again. It was definitely worth every penny. Jodi

—Jodi L., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2008

Having worked for several years before applying to law schools, I was nervous about getting back into a school setting. I signed up for Law Preview, hoping that it would re-acclimate me to the classroom, the note taking, and the concentration I would need to get by in law school. I was happy with the week I spent, feeling confident that at the very least, I would not be completely lost when classes began. After a week of school, however, I realized that I had received much much more from the week I spent with Law Preview. I knew how to read and understand cases, which reduced the stress of preparing for classes, and gave me more time to outline and review my notes. I was able to prepare for finals throughout the semester, using the strategies Law Preview gave me to attack outlining, studying, and test taking. Law school exams are hard, but Law Preview helps to maximize your potential by showing you how to focus your time and concentrate on the important issues. I ended my first year near the top of my class. I was invited to join Law Review and I interned for a federal judge in my first year summer. Now, nearing the end of my second year, I am looking forward to a summer associate position at one of New York's top law firms. I owe many thanks to Law Preview!

—Amanda U., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2009

I think it gave me confidence and an idea of what the workload would be like. In the end the specific details of courses were too broad of an overview for it to be useful when looking back. Finally, the best part of the class was talking about exams and just driving in the idea that professors are looking for grey areas in the law. As much as the first year is about learning the law, its just as much about learning how to take the final exam and this course was very good at preparing for that.

—William S., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2009

It gave me a more comfortable sense of what law school was going to be like. The lectures on how to prepare and what not to get caught up in and waste time with really kept me focused on the task at hand, which was getting good grades. I was in the top 16% of my class this first semester and at least some of that work has to be attributed from some of the stuff I gained from Law Preview. The exam taking strategies and writing skills helped as well.

—Anonymous, St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2011

Law Preview helped me prepare for law school in by helping to cure my anxiety. They made sure that when I entered law school I would not be caught off guard with material that i had never seen before. Additionally, the schedule that they provide for students is important to studying and preparing effectively. I was ahead of other students because of the schedule and knowledge law preview provided me with before I started my first semester.

—Paul M., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2014

I believe Law Preview made all the difference in my law school performance. I definitely had a head start on all my classmates, and the plan Law Preview laid out was an excellent resource. I followed the schedule very closely, and the hard work paid off. My gpa is currently a 3.8, I've already been asked by one professor to work as her research assistant next year, and three different professors have told me to expect an invitation to join the law journal. Without Law Preview, I highly doubt I would have been as successful. Thank you!

—Julie C., St. Mary's University School of Law, Class of 2009

Law Preview had a huge impact on my first year law school experience. It gave me a plan and I knew as long as I stuck to it I would be successful. Thank you!

—Julie C., St. Mary's University School of Law, Class of 2009

Law Preview was tremendous in helping me shoot out of the gate strong. From the first day I walked on campus I had a plan and a purpose thanks to LP. In addition to the organizational and structural advantages I had thanks to the schedule and preparation materials, I left LP with a sense of confidence. Law Preview really helped be "demystify" the law, in breaking it down into something practical and manageable. I also believe that the long hours during the program set my expectations for the amount of time and effort I needed to be successful, which led to a smooth and natural transition into the real thing. I would recommend this program to anyone who is entering law school, especially in this market where grades are EVERYTHING. [Ranked 5 out of 339].

—Anonymous, St. Mary's University School of Law, Class of 2012
(transferred to SMU Dedman School of Law)

Law Preview was most helpful for letting me know what to expect and how much time I would have to put in. I think my best semester GPA in college was 3.2. My overall was more like 2.2. Let's just say I lacked study habits. After my first semester in law school I had a 3.7. After the first year, I was in the top 5%, graded onto law review, and won a huge scholarship. I read some books before law school that told me much of the same information I was given by Law Preview. What Law Preview does that no book can accomplish, is show you how much work is involved by making you sit in classes all day and then still have several hours of reading and briefing to do that night.

—David Z., St. Thomas University School of Law, Class of 2008

Before the start of my first semester of law school, I had no idea what I was in for until taking the course offered by Law Preview. I don't have any friends who are lawyers; I don't come from a family of lawyers. My resources were limited to those "books" that claim to give an incoming law student some insight as to what to expect. I read at least three of them, and not one of them compares to what I got from Law Preview. I completely attribute my success in my first year of law school to two things: my own commitment to performing well as well as the insight and guidance provided by Law Preview.

—Tyler L., St. Thomas University School of Law, Class of 2008

It definitely affected my success in a very good way. . . . Obviously, I knew law school was going to be all about studying, studying and more studying, but I think I would have wasted a lot of time studying the wrong things in the wrong way. Law Preview helped to retrain the way my mind takes in information and then uses it. Certainly, a majority of the mind retraining took place over the course of my semester, but by going to Law Preview I had advance knowledge of that process. Once I got to exams, I was again thankful for what I learned during that week about a law school final. I spent a month of 12 hour days in the library, but I knew this is what it would take. I was ready for each of my finals, and I am very pleased with the outcome of my semester.
