Law Preview helped me because it gave me an idea of how to approach the material. The tips on briefing cases were helpful, and it was definitely a good thing to know going into my first semester. They gave us a lot of good advice- due to time constraints, I wasn't able to follow through with everything they told us to do, but in the end, my first semester turned out pretty well. [Ranked #9 out of 199 students after first semester.]

I'm a Law Preview alum from June 2003 at Texas Wesleyen. I'm a 2L at SMU and singing your praises! I'm on the Law Review, probably around the top 5% (we don't get our exact rankings), and I had the most awesome interview season and now have 2 great clerkships for next summer. Of course, I do owe my 1L success to you and all of my great preparation!!

I took both Bar/Bri and Law Preview. After having taken both classes, I must say that Law Preview is a far superior class to the Bar/Bri class. While Bar/Bri provided exposure to life as a student in law school, I believe Law Preview prepared me for life as a student in law school. In addition to the excellent curriculum on case briefing and academic success, as well as outstanding faculty, I felt that Don took a personal interest in the students and truly wanted to equip us with skills to succeed in law school. For any student deciding between Bar/Bri verses Law Preview -- take Law Preview. It is the better class.

I attended a preview session last summer . . . I was very impressed with the level of personal attention that I received and the expertise of the professors who taught the classes. By the way, thanks to Law Preview I got on the Dean’s List my first semester.

Don, I just wanted to write to you and reaffirm what I have always believed--Law Preview works! I recommend the program to any law-school candidate who is serious about succeeding in law school. I enrolled in the Summer '02 course in Ft. Worth and couldn't be happier with the results. I was in the top 10% of my first year class at SMU and was selected for Law Review. After a successful first year at SMU, I transferred to UT law where I have continued to enjoy success. I have recently accepted a full-time position with Baker Botts . . . Thanks again!

Law Preview was instrumental in helping me successfully get through my first semester of law school. When classes started, I had background knowledge of each class. I already knew how to read a case and write a brief. I knew what the professors expected of me. I knew what a final exam looked like. Most of all, I met other people going to my school and made friendships that I believe will stand the test of time. Law Preview is worth every penny.

The main thing I can thank Law Preview for is helping set up a good schedule. While most of my peers were stressed for time and under a lot of pressure to get certain reading and writing assignments finished, I never felt the stress that many other students did. I had all my outlines finished before finals even started and was a go to guy from other students. The schedule and preparation made all the difference.

Class ranking has not been released but based on ranking of the graduating class I should be at or near the top 10%. Law Preview helped my law school experience by preparing me for the year through an understanding of how to brief cases and what needed to be done on a continuing basis to stay ahead of the class and succeed in school. This gave me a large headstart over my competition and greatly reduced my stress level as I began law school.

I went into Law School knowing how to brief cases, knowing the language of the law and knowing the subject matter that was being presented. That was all extremely beneficial to me; however, the best thing about Law Preview is that I met my best friend and a familiar face in my law school section. He and I have helped each other through the semester, formed a study group with other students and relied on our Law Preview materials to help along the way. I was thankful for the experience and the people I met.

Starting law school is a daunting task especially when they barrage you with enormous amount of new information. Law Preview was like CliffNotes for law school. It helped me to set my bearing and rest in the fact that unlike so many of my classmates, law school classes were not the first time I heard the new terms like promissory estoppel. Having a head start definitely put me at an advantage. I would definitely recommend it to any rising 1Ls.

Law Preview gave me an idea of how fast paced classes and school in general were going to be. Once you fall behind in the readings you just cannot catch up. I took a lot of notes while in Law Preview (pages upon pages upon pages). I wrote down stuff that didn't even make any sense at the time. And before all of my finals I went back and read through that stuff. It certainly helped.

Law school is a lot about expectations. Many people enter law school thinking that this is undergrad part two, but it is much more than that. Law Preview helped me to understand the type of time and effort commitment that law school would require of me. My last semester in undergrad, I took one class on Monday nights and basically just hung out the rest of the time. Law Preview was a fantastic eye-opener to the reality that awaited me in law school and no doubt my success was greatly predicated on the preparation and advice Law Preview provided.

Law Preview definitely helped me out in being prepared for my first semester. Besides just getting a preview of the subject matter, I think the most beneficial part of the class was just knowing the amount of time and intensity required for the first year. The calendar and the 12 hours a day suggestion really gave me a wake up call and I think that was a huge factor in me doing so well. SMU only releases the Dean's List (top 25% after first semester) all other cut-offs are released after Spring semester. My GPA is likely in top 10-15% but I cannot know for certain.

Law Preview helped my law school experience by helping me hit the ground running as I began the semester. A lot of my classmates were extremely overwhelmed, but I knew exactly what to expect from law school. Moreover, I followed Law Preview's advice in preparing for exams through weekly reviews which allowed me to do very well on my exams. We did not get individual rankings, but my GPA was a 3.775.

I attended Law Preview last summer in Houston, and I can not thank you enough. I can honestly say that Law Preview made the difference in how well I did my first semester. The professors you had were top notch. It gave me confidence walking into class knowing that it was not the first time I had seen these difficult concepts, unlike most of the other students who had not taken Law Preview. This confidence allowed me to pay better attention to what was important in class and take better notes, which allowed me to differentiate myself from my classmates when it counted -- on the exam. By using the methods you taught me, I finished my first semester at the top of my class (3.76 GPA), and I fully intend to stay at the top by continuing to use your methods. Thanks again.

It was helpful and scared me, in a good way, into trying really hard. Which, when you try hard, always lead to better results.

I feel as if I was well prepared and that there were no suprises. The time that I spent with Law Preview has helped me stay one step ahead of my classmates. I would highly reccommend the program to all incoming 1Ls. Thanks.

All in all, by applying the tools I learned in Law Preview, I was able to stay focused, and finish my first semester at least in the top 15%, if not the top 10% (rankings aren't out yet), and was named to the Dean's Honor List. Thanks again, and I look forward to using the same methods for my entire law school career.

I don't know my numerical ranking yet, but I do know that I am in the top 5% of my class. I also received the highest grade in Torts II and Constitutional Law. Law Preview was extremely beneficial. I felt prepared for my first year because I knew how to study, when to start outlining, and what to expect from exams. I followed the schedule and used the case briefing template throughout my first semester. I truly believe the program gave me an edge.
